A Home Helper Urgently Needed At Sydney, Nova Scotia.. To apply for the position of a Home Helper, just follow the details below, Victorian Order of Nurses is inviting applications from suitably qualified persons to apply for the position of a Home helper who can atleast assist clients through their discharge procedures. Duties/Responsibilities Of The Home Helper

• Evaluate client family care plan and family home personal situation


• Help in the development of the personal support care plan


• Always reflect the needs of the individual/family


• Communicate with appropriate members of the health team and clients family


• Communicate always with members of the health team on management of the clients and family


• Adheres to the Victorian Order of Nurses standards and core values

Eligibility Criteria Of The Home Helper

• Must have graduated from Secondary school


• Must have certificate of a personal Support Worker or Health care Aide


• Must have a CPR and First Aid certificate


• Must have experience in Household management


• Must have experience working with children and the aged or ill persons


• Must have an excellent assessment skill


• Must have community resource awareness


• Must be able to take directions from your superior and work under no supervison


• Must have a current drivers license and vehicle insurance proof


• Must also be mobile that is have your own vehicle


• Must have original copy of criminal record check which will be provided at the start of the job


• Must be able to speak French so as to communicate effectively in French designated areas.
